I'm Patric Bo Jonsson and I am running for District 2, Half Moon Bay City Council because our beloved Coastside is now more than ever facing  critical challenges that demand strong leadership. As a resident of Half Moon Bay for over 35 years, I am deeply committed to preserving our unique coastal charm while addressing the most pressing issues head-on.
My record of achievement and commitment to the community includes:

• Serving on the Half Moon Bay Planning Commission for eight years, where I gained invaluable insight into the intricacies of city planning and development.
• Being recognized by a member of Congress for my dedicated community service in Half Moon Bay.
• Serving as President of the Amesport Landing Homeowners Association.
• Volunteering as a member of the Half Moon Bay Architectural Review Committee.
• Successfully managing a thriving multi-generational family business.
• Collaborating with the City of Half Moon Bay on vital issues such as protecting habitats for rare and endangered species, resolving sub-standard classifications, and consulting on ADA pathways to ensure accessibility for all.
• Ongoing involvement with the Measure E Oversight Committee and the Hatch Elementary School Parent Teacher Organization.

If elected as your City Council member, I will prioritize addressing our financial deficit, protecting the historical charm of downtown Half Moon Bay, and increasing tourist revenue in ways that benefit our community. I will also  work to maintain local control over land use projects.

I am an adaptable, transparent leader who values diverse perspectives and constructive dialogue.  Let’s work together to preserve the unique character of Half Moon Bay and ensure its value for present and future generations. I look forward to hearing your questions, concerns, and ideas!
